First of all... Happy Croissant Day!!! I love croissants don't you?
Anyhoo now that's over with can you believe Biggest Loser is back on TV? Crazy. Now don't get me wrong I love me a good reality show and I get very emotionally attached to the people on Biggest Loser because I want everyone to do well and be be happy. I love seeing them gain their confidence. I jump for joy with them, I cry when they cry, I care about their well being. From what I have seen though it looks like they have kept a lot of the same formula from the old show and I am not sure if that is the best way the contestants will get their help for long term goals. Yes they have added things like Bob sitting down with them and talking about fixing the mindset as well. I think there should be more focus on that, their nutrition and them doing safely crafted workouts to avoid injuries. I think it would be way cooler if the contestants were followed in their everyday lives while working in their health and fitness goals. Then at the end of the year they get a public weigh in and keep the suspense for the grand prize winner. Add in a couple fun activities and challenges here and there where they meet up and play a game or something. Maybe save the hardcore obstacle course stuff until after they are more mobile and will be able to get through a course safely. Like I said I want everyone to succeed and hate to seem them pushed to the point of injury risk. Of course they would need to throw in the makeovers, because who doesn't love a good makeover. Maybe it is just me but, I would probably tune in more for a show that actually helps people treat their issues and get healthy. I understand networks do want excitement and drama for viewership so they can make that money so they focus a lot on the competition aspect of it. I think it would be more drama filled and exciting to watch them do it at home in a realistic setting so they don't get shocked back into reality when they come back from the ranch. But what do I know, I am not a TV producer so what I think will work might not. Agree with me or not that is ok. You are entitled to your opinion as well and I will still have the same care and respect for you as always. These are the things that hit my mind after a glass of cab (or two) while I am sitting on the couch relaxing. Who knows thoughtful Thursday could turn into a regular thing. I don't make any promises though. It is almost 9:00 PM so this is going to be short. Hopefully you have a great night and fantastic weekend. Maybe we will meet here again for another random thought or preachy idea like this turned out to be.
Until next time I bid you adieu.
